3D VFX | MAYA

Maya is used to create complex visual effects shots including 3D particles, digital stunt-doubles and dynamic simulations for both completely CG productions and also for integration with live action footage.

3D VFX | Animation work is created in Maya.

VFX COMPOSITINg | After FX

After FX is used for 2D + 3D VFX and Compositing: Chroma-keys, rotoscoping, match moving, set-extentions, wire removal, colour grading, layered composites and all manner of special effects.

Chroma Key Removal | Keylight

An integral part of many post-production scenarios is that of chroma key removal. Shooting in a green studio allows the easy separation of elements and during the compositing stage using Keylight to create clean and accurate mattes with ease.

Rotoscoping

Using various bezier pen tools and settings to achieve the desired result, rotoscoping is a very specialized skill and requires care and attention to detail to produce a clean mask. Rotoscoping is often performed alongside greenscreen work.

2D Camera Tracking

When dealing with moving camera shots, it is often required to re-create the camera's movement in digital 3D space. This is to allow seamless integration of CG elements with the footage. Various tracking tools make this process achievable.

2D Camera Stablising

Camera stabilisation is often performed alongside rotoscoping or camera tracking, essentially preparing the original footage for the creative compositing stage by removing any unneccesary camera jitter or shake. It can also be used as a prerequisite to the camera tracking process.
